How to handle images

Students may use Google to search for images that will enhance their webpages; however, it is important to be aware of  Copyright Fair Use and How it Works for Online Images.

Students should be encouraged to search for and save the images that they feel will enhance their website ahead of time.  This will result in much more efficient use of time in the lab.

A selected image will need to be download and saved to the desktop.  During this process, students should give the image a name that will help them identify it when the time comes to place the image on their website.  Helping students understand the organizational skills that go into website development is an important aspect of this project.

Once the image is downloaded and renamed students can upload the images as FILES to their Google Drive.

Do not have the students copy and paste images directly from Google.  Even if this process worked, it is a bad idea.
