Please check back for updates regarding the 2020-2021 school year.  In years past, a screener test is given in the fall to determine club participants.

What is MathCounts? MathCounts is a national middle school level mathematics and problem solving competition.  The competition consists of a series of individual tests, with one team round for select participants.  Each year, our school sends 10 competitors to the Regional Competition with hopes of moving on to the State and National level competitions.  For more information about the competition, please check out their website. Follow this link to the organization's homepage.

How can I get involved?
Students interested in participating in the practices and competitions MUST qualify by taking a screener test in mid-late October.  Students will be selected to participate according to their results on this screener and availability.

What can I do to practice in the off season or prepare for the competition?
This competition is largely based off principles and problems outlined by the Art of Problem Solving. Students unfamiliar with the text would greatly benefit from using this resource.  For interactive problem solving practice, the  MathCounts Trainer applet allows students to solve MathCounts problems receiving feedback and problems of increasing difficulty as they progress.
