HIGH SCHOOL NORTH HEALTH UPDATE
April 18, 2021

Today, the school district became aware of a COVID-19 positive case involving a HSN girls lacrosse player. Upon contact tracing, it was determined that out of an abundance of caution and the possibility of exposure of other teammates, that the girls lacrosse team will be quarantined for a 14-day period through April 28. The COVID positive individual has not participated in in-person instruction since prior to spring break. The impacted student athletes will be prohibited from attending any team events and in-person instruction during the quarantine. All students and staff members that had potential exposure have been contacted by the school administration.

High School North will continue to operate on the Hybrid 2 Week and All-In schedule without interruption.

As a reminder, our WW-P Schools have implemented health protocols as informed by guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the New Jersey Department of Health. When implemented with fidelity, the protocols work to limit possible exposure and spread of COVID-19. There are several critical components to our protocols and they include:

  1. Completion of a Daily Health Screening form.

  2. Social distancing of at least three feet.

  3. Limited direct exposure within six feet for more than fifteen minutes.

  4. Wearing of masks.

  5. Proper handwashing.

  6. Set-up of classrooms that limits contact between staff and students.

  7. High frequency cleaning.

  8. Practice good hand hygiene. Wash hands often with soap and warm water for 20 seconds. Use hand sanitizer.

  9. Daily temperature checks.

  10.  Hallways and restrooms are cleaned and disinfected daily.

  11. All classrooms, offices, and high touch surfaces are cleaned and disinfected daily.

Below are some resources that might be helpful.
