Welcome to the webpages for Student Health Services for the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District.

School Nurses bridge the gap between healthcare and education.  The school nurse will assess and provide  emergency treatment to those students who are injured or ill during the school day. The school nurse can administer medication to a student during school hours, but only with written order from the physician and signed by the parent. This includes all types of medication, even over-the-counter drugs. Students are not permitted to carry medication in school except for certain emergency situations deemed by NJ Law. This applies only to students in Grades 6-12 with written permission from their physician. Students in grades PreK-5 are not permitted to carry medication on them at any time.
  • Students are screened for height, weight, vision, hearing, blood pressure, and scoliosis according to the recommendation timetable of the New Jersey Department of Education.
  • A current physical examination is required for all sports participants and new registrants, including Pre-K, Kindergarten and transfer students.
  • Immunizations must be up to date in order to comply with NJ Law.  Parents will be informed if immunization data is incomplete or if students will require upcoming immunizations according to their age.
