Dear WW-P Community,

On Tuesday of this week, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy issued an administrative order providing school districts that have buildings that serve as polling locations the option to provide virtual instruction for students on Election Day, Nov. 2, 2021. Four of WW-P’s buildings serve as polling locations. Per the Governor’s administrative order, these polling locations cannot enforce a mask requirement for those who enter our school facilities to vote. Due to the number of members of the public that will enter our facilities to vote, and the fact that they do not have to adhere to school masking requirements, the District will exercise the virtual option provided for Election Day. Please note that the allowance for virtual instruction has only been provided for this specific reason and does not extend beyond Election Day. The health and safety of our students and staff are our utmost priority.

All WW-P Schools will be closed to in-person instruction Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021 (Election Day). Instruction by WW-P staff will be conducted virtually Nov. 2, 2021. This change to all-virtual instruction is ONLY for Tuesday, Nov. 2.

Classroom devices will be issued to students in grades PreK-3 to take home with them for use on Nov. 2. These devices will be sent home closer to that date. More information will be forthcoming.

Community Education will be offering EDP Drop-In Day child care for any WW-P kindergarten through 8th grade student. This full-day, in-person child care will be held at Village School Nov. 2 from 7 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. for $35/child. Spots are limited and registration is on a first-come, first served basis. The EDP Drop-In Day will follow the same health and safety protocols as WW-P Schools (i.e., temperature check upon entrance, masks required, frequent hand washing). Students must bring all materials needed to complete their full-virtual school day along with a nut-free lunch. Registration is online through Community Pass under “2021-2022 EDP Drop In Days.”

Sincerely,

David Aderhold, Ed.D

Superintendent of Schools
