Dear WW-P Community,


Earlier this month, we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week throughout our schools. I want to express my deep appreciation to our WW-P educators for all they do for our students, families, the local community, and each other. As we celebrate our educators, it is always great to see our students sharing notes of thanks, wearing favorite colors, and creating works of art. These tokens are greatly appreciated. Thank you to our PTAs, PTSAs, and families for showering our teachers, nurses, secretaries, support staff, IAs, school counselors, therapists, administrators, bus drivers, Class III officers, Eyes on the Door staff and custodial staff with love, support, luncheons, breakfast and more.


To kick off Teacher Appreciation Week, the District announced our Educators of the Year honorees. WW-P created this special recognition program to honor an educator in each school building. These amazing educators were selected by a committee consisting of colleagues, parents, and administrators. The WW-P Board of Education will honor this amazing group June 11, 2024, at the District Celebration. Congratulations to our 2024 recipients:

  • Stefanie Burnett, 1st grade teacher- Dutch Neck Elementary School

  • Mary Ann Harpel, 2nd grade teacher - Maurice Hawk Elementary School

  • Kelly Fox, teacher of special education- Town Center Elementary School 

  • Sharon Refsin, 1st grade teacher - Wicoff Elementary School  

  • Christopher Petrone, teacher of health and physical education - Millstone River School  

  • Carol Murphy, 5th grade teacher - Village School 

  • James Fiocco, teacher of technology and computers, Community Middle School 

  • Craig Frame, teacher of math, Grover Middle School 

  • Ardie Allen, teacher of math - High School North

  • Ellin Glassband, teacher of language arts- High School South  

Upcoming Celebrations

As the school year slowly winds down, I look forward to celebrating our students.


Our Middle School 8th Grade Salutes will take place Tuesday, June 18, at 6 p.m. Both salutes will be live streamed and can be viewed on each school's YouTube channel.

WW-P Community Education Summer Programming

Community Education Summer Programming is back at Community Middle School with an amazing summer full of program options for rising 1st through 9th grade students. From coding and art to pottery, Sockey, and summer adventure camp, Community Education has something for every student. Half and full day camps are available. Register for one week or all seven. School Calendar Reminders for June:

A reminder that the last day of school is Wednesday, June 19, 2024. June 19 is also a half-day. No food service will be provided. Tuesday, June 18, is the last day of school for the Maurice Hawk half-day preschool program.
