Should the District need to enact a school delay, emergency early dismissal, or school closure due to weather, parents/guardians and staff will be notified via the following methods:

With the many recent bridge and road closures in our communities, staff and families are also encouraged to subscribe to the West Windsor and/or Plainsboro Nixle alerts for information on road closures and other emergencies that may affect community members and those who work in the community. As we enter the holiday season, our WW-P schools will become busy with music concerts and events, charity drives, PTA/PTSA events and more. Watching our WW-P community, and in particular our students, sharing their seasonal traditions with one another is wonderful to witness. Our upcoming Virtual Parent University Lunch and Learn on Dec. 9, 2025, from 11-11:30 a.m. will provide parents with a wonderful opportunity to hear from some of our high school student leaders on the importance that their Affinity Groups at the high school play in strengthening their school communities. Students will lead this panel conversation titled, “The Power of Belonging: High School Student Voices on the Importance of Affinity Groups. Please click here to register to attend. I also encourage all families to read the Friday School and PTA/PTSA newsletters for upcoming school, District, and PTA/PTSA events. In addition, the District Calendar of Events lists many exciting upcoming events around our schools.
School Calendar Reminders for November/December:
Thanksgiving Recess: All WW-P schools will have an early dismissal Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, and Maurice Hawk half-day preschool is closed on that date. No lunch service will be provided. All schools and board offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28, for Thanksgiving Recess. Students and staff will return to school Monday, Dec. 1.
Winter Recess: All WW-P schools will have an early dismissal Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025, and Maurice Hawk half-day preschool is closed on that date. No lunch service will be provided. All schools and district offices will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, through Jan. 2, 2026. Students and staff will return to school Monday, Jan. 5, 2026.
